Bond

A bond happens to be a debt security where it is stated that the authorized issuer owes a debt to the share holder. In addition to this, it is also stated that the issuer will pay the debt back including both the principal as well as the interest that is very often referred to as the coupon. Along with these many things, there are many other associated things that are mentioned in the bond.

There are many kinds of issuers of bonds. Some of issuers of bonds are the credit institutions, different companies, public authorities and the supranational institutions. The banks or the firms that form a syndicate, are often found to buy the whole issue of bonds from a particular issuer. Then the banks or the firms re- sell the bonds to the investors.

There are a large number of the types of bond. Some of the types of bonds are fixed rate bonds, floating rates bonds, high yield bonds, zero coupon bonds, inflation linked bonds, indexed bonds, asset- backed security bond, subordinate bonds, perpetual bond, bearer bond, bear bond, registered bond, municipal bond and lottery bond. There are some sub- divisions of some of these types of bonds. Another type of bond is the war bond that a country issues to fund the war that it is involved in.

There is also another kind of bonds. These are issued by the foreign entities. Some of the types of bonds are Eurodollar bond in the United States, Kangaroo bond in Australia, Maple bond in canada, Samurai bond in Japan, Yankee bond in the share markets of United States of America, Shogun bond thai is issued by the non- Japanese organizations in Japan, Bulldog bond issued in the share markets of London, Matrioshka bond in Russia, Arirang bond in Korea, Kimchi bond issued by the non- Korean entities in Korea, Formosa bond issued by the non- Taiwan entities in Taiwan, Panda bond issued by the non- Chinese entities in the share markets in China and State of Israel bond that is issued through the Development Corporation of Israel. The bond is issued by the State of Israel. This bond is mainly dominated in the multiple currencies.

There are some features of the bonds that are issued in all round the world. The features of the bonds may vary depending upon in which nation the bond is being issued, and also on what are the rules and regulations of issuing a bond. There are some countries where the features of the bonds or the rules of issuing the bonds are almost the same. But, in most of the cases, the features of the bond have been found to vary. For example, the features of the bonds issued in the United States of America are almost the same as those of the United Kingdom. The particular basics of the features are somehow the same in the share markets of each and every country in the world.
